c. Connect the second SDI OUT connector to your Routing Switcher.
4. For each Spectrum X, if LTC is available, connect as follows.
a. Connect the LTC
IN(s)
to the LTC output of a source device or the LTC output of a timecode
generator.
b. Connect the LTC

(s) to the LTC input of a destination device.

Connecting audio and video I/O to a MediaPort or a ChannelPort
Connect the SDI I/O connectors on the rear panel of the ChannelPort or MediaPort as needed.
NOTE:
Spectrum supports embedded audio. Separate connections to AES audio as
described below are optional.
1. For the Record MediaPort with MediaPort modules, make the following connections to record audio
and video on the MediaStore and monitor the recording process.
a. Connect video from a VTR or Routing Switcher to the SDI IN connector.
b. Connect one of the two SDI OUT connectors to an SDI monitor.
c. Connect AES audio from a VTR or Routing Switcher to the AES IN connectors.
d. Connect AES audio from the AES OUT connectors to AES audio monitors.
2. For the Play MediaPort with MediaPort or ChannelPort modules, make the following connections to
play audio and video and monitor the playback process.
a. Connect the first SDI OUT connector to an SDI monitor.
b. Connect the second SDI OUT connector to your Master Control Switcher or Routing Switcher.
c. (MediaPort modules only) Connect AES audio from the AES OUT connectors to your Master
Control Switcher or Routing Switcher.
3. For the Preview MediaPort with MediaPort or ChannelPort modules, make the following connections
to preview audio and video from the MediaStore in an off air environment as required.
a. Connect the first SDI OUT connector to an SDI monitor.
b. (MediaPort modules only) Connect AES audio from the AES OUT connectors to your Routing
Switcher.
c. Connect the second SDI OUT connector to your Routing Switcher.
4. For each MediaPort or ChannelPort, if available, connect LTC as follows.
a. Connect the LTC
IN(s)
to the LTC output of a source device or the LTC output of a timecode
generator.
b. Connect the LTC
OUT
(s) to the LTC input of a destination device.
5. Connect the Reference Loop to the house-timed black signal. If you are not making a loop
connection, terminate the unused connector with a 75 ohm terminator.
