Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the following in

structions have to be observed for the electrical connection:
The device is supplied with a 12 Volt DC voltage via the mains
■
adapter supplied. Always use the mains adapter supplied to con
-
nect the device to the mains supply.
Before connecting the device, compare the connection data (volt
-
■
age and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains
adapter. These data must correspond in order to avoid damage to
the device.
Protect the adapter cable from hot surfaces and sharp edges.
■
Make sure that the adapter cable is not too taut or kinked.
■
Do not allow the adapter cable to hang over edges (trip wire ef
-
■
fect).
If the device is not to be used for a longer period of time, discon
-
■
nect the mains adapter from the mains supply.
Connecting the mains adapter
Connect the plug of the mains adapter to the 12 VDC jack

of
the device.
Insert the mains adapter into the mains socket.
Checking the installation
The Power LED should come on.

A LAN LED should come on for each LAN (PC) connection (pro

vided the PC is switched on).
The WLAN LED should come on when WLAN clients are con

nected.
The WAN LED should come on when the modem is switched on.
