4. Cut the wire ties that support the main

harness to the platform assembly.

5. Remove hex-head bolts securing the motor

shield and the harness brackets to the

platform.

6. Cut the wire ties that support the main

harness to the platform assembly.

7. Remove hex-head bolts securing the motor

shield and the harness brackets to the

platform.

8. Remove eight hex-head bolts securing the

platform to the bottom of the tub.

9. Pry platform assembly away from the tub.

NOTE

: The tub seal is pressed onto the shaft.

Prying against the tub bottom to remove the

platform assembly may be necessary.

Platform/Transmission Assembly

The platform assembly not only houses the

transmission but is also used to mount the drive

motor and mode shifter. The transmission has

planetary gears inside to assist with the agitation

and spin cycles of the washer. It is one complete

part with the exception of the two harness

mounting brackets (some models have one

harness mounting bracket) and a motor splash

guard.

2. Remove the hub nut and Belleville washer.

The hub nut is reverse threads. It needs to be

turned clockwise (CW) to loosen.

3. Lean washer back or lay on its side to access

the bottom of the washer.
