The suspension assembly consists of the ball
joint, suspension rod, spring, foam, housing and
cap. This assembly is used to support the tub
assembly when it is idle and when working to
suppress the vibrations.
Suspension Assembly Removal
Two technicians will be needed to remove the
suspension assembly because the tub assembly
is bulky and weighs approximately 58-pounds.
1. Remove backsplash assembly (see
Backsplash Removal
under

and remove the top cover assembly (see
Top Cover Removal

section of this service guide).
2. Disengage the rod and spring assembly
from the tub. One technician will lift the
tub assembly while the second technician
disengages the rod and spring assembly.
3. After the suspension assembly is disengaged
from the tub assembly, lift the ball joint,
and turn it to get ball joint release from the
suspension rod.
4. When reassembling ball joint to the rod,
grease the bottom of the ball joint.
Suspension Assembly
Keeping the washer level is critical because
the clearance of the tub to the cabinet/apron
assembly is minimal. It also assists with
preventing the washer from rocking and moving
out of position.
Leg Adjustment
Move the washer into its final position. Place a
level on a flat top side edge of the washer. Adjust
all four leveling legs by screwing them into or
out of the four brackets until the washer is level,
right to left and back to front. Replace any of the
leveling legs if they show signs of damage.
Leveling Leg Replacement
1. Lean the washer back using ergo-assisting
prop blocks (Part #: WX05X10027) or lay the
washer on its side to access the levelling legs.
2. Unscrew the leveling legs that needs to be
replaced and screw-in the new legs.
