The lid strike is located on the underside of the
lid. When the lid is closed, the strike closes the
contacts of the lid switch. During the spin portion
of a cycle, it secures the lid from being opened.
Lid Strike Removal
1. Insert a small shank screw-driver into the
hole below the strike, by keeping lid in open
position.
2. Push inward gently to release the locking tab.
3. Twist the strike counter-clockwise (CCW) and
pull out.
4.
To reinstall, slide the locking tab in first, then
seat the strike in the lid and turn clockwise
(CW) to lock the strike in place.

Lid Dampers
Lid dampers help for smooth closing and opening
of the lid with the help of an in-built hydraulic
system. These are located inside lid frame with
the help of stanchions and a reinforcement cover.

2. Remove hex-head screw which holds hinge
reinforcement cover to lid cover assembly.
3. Disengage reinforcement cover from glass lid
assembly.
4. Slide two dampers towards center of the
assembly to get release from the lid hinge.
