Chapter 5 Software Maintenance

When the “ftp>” prompt appears, you can proceed with

upload/download.

Step 3: Upload/Download the application/Boot ROM

program/configuration file.

Note:

On the VG 21-08, the default name of the application program is

"system”, the configuration file is “config”, the extended segment of

the Boot ROM program is “bootrom”, and the full Boot ROM program

is “bootromfull”

Upload the application/Boot ROM program/configuration

file.

ftp> put

←

Key in put to perform upload.

local file

←

Type the name of the application/Boot ROM

program/configuration file to be uploaded.

remote file

←

Type the name of the application/Boot ROM

program/configuration file to be saved after it is uploaded

to the VG.

Upon the completion of upload, the “ftp>” prompt appears again.

Type

dir

to view the names and sizes of the uploaded files on the VG

21-08. The configuration file has the same size as the original file on

the host if the upload is successful.

Download the application/Boot ROM program/configuration

file.

ftp> get
