Ending recording

Fast rewind or play-back during recording also ends the
recording.
Note:
When recording is ended the date and the time are
saved along with every dictation (displayed only on
the PC).
Warning:
Electronic devices such as digital dictation machines can
suffer malfunctions due to electrical discharge.
If you are electronically charged when you touch a dic-
tation machine which is already switched on, the device
sometimes switches off to prevent further damage.
If a recording was in process, check that the current
dictation is complete. You may have to re-record a few
seconds of text.
Note on very long dictations:
In the settings menu with the function »Follow up dict.«
you can set the maximum dictation length after which
the next dictation shall be created automatically. Once
the dictation limit (e.g. 5 hours) is reached, a new dic-
tation will be created automatically with the following
name:
< Original dictation name > + < letter starting with
A to Z >.
Example:
DICT001.DSS (initial 300 minutes);
DICT001A.DSS (second 300 minutes);
DICT001B.DSS (third 300 minutes).
You will hear a double warning signal when a new dicta-
tion is created.
