Scanning a RFID code for a new dictation
The RFID reader is connected to the portable dictation
machine and activated.
•
Switch on the portable dictation machine.
• Move the slide switch to » «.
• Press the » REC « button and then the » NEW « button.
– » SCAN « and » ESC « appears in the display.
• If you don't want to read a RFID-Code into the dictation
accompanying note, press the » ESC « button and con-
tinue with your dictation as usual.
• If you wish to read a RFID code, hold the RFID Reader
directly at the label with the RFID code (see illustration)
and press the»
SCAN « button.
– The device will now read the RFID code. If the RFID
code was successfully read in, the device will acknowl-
edge this by emitting a single tone.
– The RFID code appears in the display.
• If you want to include the RFID code as displayed in the
dictation, press the » OK « button.
• If you want to re-read the RFID code press the » SCAN «
button.
• If you don't want to include the RFID code in the dic-
tation, press the » ESC « button and continue with your
dictation as usual.
Note:
If the device cannot read the RFID code, it emits a double
signal tone, and the message »
No RFID found « appears
on the display. Confirm the error message with » OK «. You
can now repeat the scan with the » SCAN « button or cancel
it with the » ESC « button and dictate without RFID code.
