12.2 System overview
Below picture shows an overview of the internal connections between different eXentro Voice
Alarm components, batteries, 19” rack accessories and external connections to different eXentro
emergency panels, loudspeakers and audio sources.
1. Audio - shielded microphone cable
2. Error contact closures – 2* 0,1 mm2 min. (per contact)
3. Emergency panel – shielded CAT5e/6 & fire retardant*
4. Speaker cable external – 2*2,5 mm2 fire retardant
5. Speaker cable internal – 2*2,5 mm2 (max.)
6. 48 VDC cable ECU – 2*2,5 mm2 max. (2*1.0 mm2 min.)
7. 48 VDC cable PA8125 – 2*16 mm2 max. (2*4 mm2 min.)
8. 48 VDC cable PA8250 – 2*16 mm2 max. (2*8 mm2 min.)
9. Battery cable – see C48 manual for more information
10. Unit link – shielded CAT5e/6 (& fire retardant when connected to remote located unit)*
NOTE:
check local requirements for Fire retardant cable ratings!
*NOTE:
may require 120 ohm termination, see chapter 7.
Maximum cable length:
Emergency panel bus 1 & 2: see chapter 11 & 12 for more information
Unit link: max. 300 meter between 2 ECU units; max. 500 meter from first to last unit in system.
(only the first and last unit require 120 ohm termination, see also chapter 7.)
