needed for each eXentro VA system component:
In addition to these circuit breakers one can add an auxiliary error contact unit to each of these.
The error contact is closed when the circuit breaker is triggered: this information can be used to
route to the ECU AC Mains error input. For more information see chapter 12.8.
NOTE:
eXentro PA amplifiers are foreseen with an AC mains error contact closure output, so use
of the external auxiliary error contacts is not required. Do not turn ON (circuit breakers for) all
amplifiers at the same time, this can result in a to high inrush current for the AC mains supply.
Turn ON each amplifier (& circuit breaker) one by one!
Component preparation:
Before components are mounted into the 19” rack make sure all required accessories, expansion cards
are mounted into the different components and that all jumpers (e.g. RS-485 termination) are set.
Set the eXentro PA amplifier gain at +6dB (turn potentiometer at the rear of all inputs fully
clockwise) and make sure the dipswitches for mono/bridge mode selection are set.
Wiring:
Check connection of the earth wires of the side panels and front/rear door of the 19” rack: make
sure these are connected to meet EMC requirements. Shield of all shielded cabling must be
connected to the chassis of the 19” rack!
Separate the installation of different types of cables/wires (loudspeaker / audio / error contact / data)
as much as possible. Use large vertical and smaller horizontal cables ducts for wiring separation:
