9.5.4 Operator code
This menu permits to set the working mode for operator code input
during the welding process.
There are three options selectable:
a. MANDATORY: it will be necessary to insert a valid operator
code, according to standard ISO 12176-4, to proceed with
the welding process
b. VOLUNTARY: operator code input will be requested but it is
not necessary for proceeding with the welding process
c. NOT REQUIRED: no operator code input required
The symbol * is displayed near to the selected option.
If MANDATORY or VOLUNTARY mode is selected, the operator will be
asked, at the beginning of the welding process, to insert by means of
the smartphone (WeldinAir app - see chapter 10.5) the code containing
all information (Operator code, Country, Organization) of the person
who is responsible of the welding process. That is, as long as the
operator doesn’t exit from the welding process, he can work without
further document of identification input!
