8.2.8 Insert the heating element
The heater plate temperature is set by the controller according to the
selected welding standard.
Please, consider that during the fusion process all the relevant
parameters – Temperature of the heating plate (T), Pressure (P), Time(t) –
are displayed as follows:
Set value / actual value measured by the system
Go to chapter 8.3 to proceed with the fusion process.
If the heater plate temperature is out of the working range, either the
message “Temperature low!” or “Temperature high!” is displayed and
therefore it is not possible to proceed! Wait until the heater reaches the
right temperature and the message disappears!
8.3 Fusion process
Insert the heater plate in the working position into the machine and
then push the button to confirm and get the process started: the
display moves to the next page and the carriage starts to close
automatically.
The PTFE coating of the heating element must be protected from
mechanical damages and/or dirt.
Replace the heating element if the PTFE coating is damaged. Non-
observance will reduce the quality of the fusion joint.
