Problem

Possible Reason

The Solution

The milk has a

stale taste.

The milk is not fresh and/or

not cold enough.

Use refrigerated and really fresh milk for texturing (see:

‘Texturing Milk’).

The steam wand is not

clean.

Clean the steam wand thoroughly (see: ‘Cleaning the

Steam Wand’).

With the drip tray

full, the filling level

indicator does not

come up.

The red float (filling level

indicator) sticks to the sup-

port.

Pull the filling level indicator upwards and out. Then turn

the a little and push it onto the support again. When

installed in correct orientation, the filling level indicator can

move freely up and down.

All buttons are

flashing.

While switching on the

appliance, the hot water/

steam switch has been in

horizontal operating posi-

tion.

The hot water function is available only when the water

system reached the brewing temperature (power button

is illuminated continuously). Turn the hot water/steam

switch back to the vertical position and wait until the

power button will not flash any longer.

You attempted to use the

hot water/steam function,

before the water system

reached brewing tempe-

rature.

The functions of the appliance are available only, when

the water system reached operating temperature (power

button is illuminated continuously). Turn the hot water/

steam switch back to the vertical position and wait until

the power button will not flash any longer.
