Zone Connections
(control panel 2 Wire EOL option)

The third wiring method is Two Wire EOL (End Of Line resistor). This option will give
sixteen zones available from the control panel PCB.

To use the 2 wire EOL option the control panel should be programmed for
16 (2 WIRE EOL) in the programming section 'PROGRAM ZONE WIRING' (option
No.50)

When this wiring option is programmed zones AZ1 to AZ8 are zones 1 to 8 inclusive.
The zone numbering for the AZ zones will be as follows:-

Zone 1 on terminals AZ1
Zone 2 on terminals AZ2
Zone 3 on terminals AZ3
Zone 4 on terminals AZ4
Zone 5 on terminals AZ5
Zone 6 on terminals AZ6
Zone 7 on terminals AZ7
Zone 8 on terminals AZ8

Because the 2 wire EOL option has been selected the TZ terminals are also
programmable as zones. The zone numbering for the TZ zones will be as follows:-

Zone 9 on terminals TZ1
Zone 10 on terminals TZ2
Zone 11 on terminals TZ3
Zone 12 on terminals TZ4
Zone 13 on terminals TZ5
Zone 14 on terminals TZ6
Zone 15 on terminals TZ7
Zone 16 on terminals TZ8

Up to 10 detectors may be used on each loop. A 6K8 resistor is connected across the
alarm pair of each detector and a 4K7 resistor is connected in series with the loop at
the furthest most point.

EOL wiring will give the best possible wiring security as it will not allow any bridging or
cutting of the zone loop

Typical wiring of various detectors is given in Figs.25 to 29
