of the Minitrasporter (FORT Srl).
4.9 STOP
To stop the machine and the engine, it is necessary
to operate in the following way:
- To stop the machine, just release the levers 14
and 15 Fig. 1 and 1/A.
- To stop the engine, move the throttle lever (17,
Fig. 1) in the idle position.
- Turn the command (6 Fig. 5) in the OFF position.
- Insert the parking brake using the lever (12 fig.
1).
The engine must be stopped on a level ground and
not on a soft ground, near drop-offs, ditches or
slopes.
WARNING
The machine with the engine off remains locked
in the position where it is; it is therefore advisable
to turn off the engine after placing the machine in
a position such as to easily reach the controls and
have sufficient space for the engine start-up.
4.10 AFTER USE
After use, place the machine on a leveled ground and
indoor and carefully clean it.
A clean and well maintained machine will always
give the maximum yield.
If you plan a long period of standstill, you are re
-
quired to clean the machine in all its parts and lubri-
cate, and protect it with a waterproof sheet, so as to
prevent the passage of dust and moisture.
Protect all unpainted metal parts using lubricants,
then cover it with a sheet of plastic and put it in a dry
place, protected from the elements.
If the machine is stored in an unattended area, you
must make so that is not subject to shocks and tam-
pering.
Upon its recovery, it requires a careful preliminary
review of its integrity by skilled personnel.
If these operations are carried out carefully, the ad
-
vantage will be of those who will use the machine for
the work recovery.
SECTION 5
Routine maintenance
5.1 GENERAL DATA
The following describes the various operations of
ordinary maintenance.
It is important to note that the lower cost of operation
and maximum machine life depend on the constant
and methodical compliance with these rules.
For any problem with assistance and for further study,
please contact the dealer or the technical department
of the Manufacturer.
DANGER
The various operations of maintenance and adjust-
ment must be absolutely carried out with the engine
off and the machine on a leveled and well blocked
surface.
TAMPERING THE CALIBRATION OF THE VALVES OF
THE DISTRIBUTOR IS PROHIBITED.
5.2 MAINTENANCE OF THE ENGINE
With regard to the maintenance of the engine, see the
instruction manual of the specific engine.
5.3 MAINTENANCE OF THE MACHINE
Periodically, carry out the complete washing machine
and a thorough cleaning of all its parts.
If you use a high-pressure washing system, check
that the fuel is not moistened and that no organ is
damaged.
After each wash, it is necessary to lubricate all parts
subject to friction.
5.3.1 PERIODIC CHECKS
- Every 8 hours of work:
check and, if necessary
restore, the engine oil level.
- Every 8 hours of work: proceed with greasing. The
machine has some grease points:
- n. 2 on the tipping hydraulic cylinder;
- n. 1 on the junction of tipping bodies/dump trucks;
- n. 1
on the track (4 Fig. 9), in both sides (only on
ALIEN 6.5).
- Every 50 hours of work: replace the engine oil. For
