To turn off the engine with electric start, move the
throttle to idle and turn the key is turned to «0».
Then remove the key from the ignition.
To turn off the gasoline engine with pull start, bring
the throttle to the idle position and turn the start key
to the «OFF» position.
4.3 OPERATION
WARNING
Before moving the machine, make sure the parking
brake lever (12, Fig. 1) is in the unlocked position.
For operating the machine, after starting the engine,
move the control levers of the tracks forward or back-
ward. A lever controls the right track (15 Fig. 1), the
other controls the left track (14 Fig. 1). These levers
are latched and, if released, they return to the starting
position, and then the machine stops.
Simultaneously moving the levers forward, the
machine will advance, vice versa by moving them
backward, the machine will go into reverse. Releasing
the lever, the machine stops in the position where it
is located.
4.3.1 STEERING
To steer to the right, push forward the lever (14, Fig.
1), leaving the lever (15, Fig. 1) in central position;
the left track will advance while the right one will
remain stationary.
To steer to the left, push forward the lever (15, Fig.
1), leaving the lever (14, Fig. 1) in central position; the
right track will advance and the left one will remain
stationary.
It is possible to perform the steering of the machine
on itself by actuating the two steering levers in the
opposite direction.
To maintain control of the machine at any time,
never push abruptly and deeply the steering levers;
the maneuvers should be managed by the Opera-
tor’s hand.
4.3.2 «SLOW/FAST» PROGRESS
The machine is provided with a «speed selector» (18
Fig. 1), which allows to select the slow progressor
the fast transfer.
Pulling the lever forward, the progress will be slow;
otherwise, if the lever is pulled towards the Operator,
the progress will be fast.
In case of transfer from a standing start, especially
at full load, it is recommended to set the switch with
the lever moved forward (slow progress) and, once
started, pull back the lever to bring it to the fast posi
-
tion for maximum speed.
WARNING
Use fast forward only in the case of transfers.
Never use it in reverse or at work; when you must
have steering precision, you must proceed with the
utmost caution.
Never place the selector speed lever (18, Fig. 1) in
an intermediate position: it must be either forward
or pushed all back toward the Operator.
Otherwise, you may have problems of overheating
of the oil causing wear and damage to the hydraulic
components.
4.4 WHEN WORKING
If the machine is equipped with platform (5 Fig. 1),
the Operator can position itself standing above it.
DANGER
- Going on rough land or trails with dips, always
proceed with slow speed.
- Do not go on soft ground on which the machine
may overturn; in reverse, possibly proceed taking
care not to trip over obstacles; if that happens
immediately leave the controls and the machine
stops automatically. The capacity of the vehicle
on a leveles ground and on slopes of 30% is
shown in the table «1.7 Technical features»; these
capacity values should never be exceeded.
- In the case where the load can move unbalancing
the machine, you must bind it. The load should
never exceed the height preventing visibility to
the driver.
- The obstacles must be overcome at low speed and
each reaction of maneuver must be controlled.
- Do not leave abruptly, with the machine.
- It is forbidden to drive the machine standing on
the box and on the dumper.
- Never transport the machine with people or ani-
mals.
