Messages when video-phone call is failed
FOMA terminal displays the reasons for the failure of connection of Video-phone as a message.
Messages vary depending on the other party's terminal model or subscribing network services.

Communication fee is charged not as call cost but as digital communication fee even when using a still image
or Chara-den as Substitutive image.

Video-phone cannot be made to Emergency call number (110,119 and 118). However, FOMA terminal calls
back as Voice-call when Voice call auto switch is set to "ON".

Video-phone call cannot be made to the terminal not supporting the Video-phone function, or to the terminal
(even being compatible with video-phone function) turned off or located outside the service area. If you set the
Voice call auto switch function to "ON" and attempt to make a video-phone call to an unsupported terminal, the
other party will abort the communications before connected. For this case, the terminal redials Voice-call
automatically. The redialing function may not work as descried above if you attempt video-phone calls with
inapplicable conditions such as at ISDN-sync 64 kbps or via PIAFS access points, with ISDN video-phones
incompatible with 3G-324M (as of February, 2006), or dial a wrong phone number. Note that the
communication fee may be required in some cases.

FOMA terminal SA800i is not compatible with 32K video-phone. Video-phone call cannot be made with devices
such as PHS etc. that 32K video-phone can only be connected depending on the network environment. When
Voice call auto switch is set to "ON", Video-phone is automatically switched to voice-call.

The connection may be able to continue even when a communication of either voice or video is cut off during
a video-phone call and (Sound only) or (Video only) is displayed.

Depending on the radio wave condition during a video-phone call, the image may be displayed as mosaic.

A new voice-call/video-phone call cannot be made during a video-phone call. Also, i-mode connection,
sending/receiving i-mode mail, or MessageR/F are not available. However, SMS can be received during video-
phone calls.

Hands free function is available under Manner mode.

Put FOMA terminal away from your ear when Hands free is set. Rapid increase of the volume may cause the
damage of your ear. FOMA terminal should be 20 to 40 cm away from yourself.
