Voice mail
Using Voice mail service
When you cannot receive calls since being out of
service area or turning the power off, the service
answers incoming calls with the answering
message and records messages that the caller left.
• You can check Voice message from anywhere in
Japan.
• An additional application is required to use Voice
mail service. Communication fees for playing voice
messages is required, in addition to the monthly fee.
•
Voice mail service cannot be accessed from the
location where is out of service or under the poor
radio wave condition. Operate FOMA terminal under
the better radio wave condition.
Previously activating remote access (
J
P449) allows
you to operate Voice mail service using "Network
security code" from fixed-line phones with push tone
or public phones.
Voice mail service
•
Up to 20 Voice messages of up to 3 minutes per
each can be recorded.
•
Recorded messages are saved up to 72 hours.
• When having incoming calls while activating Voice
mail service, Ring tone sounds according to the
period of time set in Ring time. If receiving the call
within the Ring time, you can catch the call. If not
receiving the call within Ring time, the call is
forwarded to the Voice mail center automatically.
The call is notified on Stand-by display or Received
calls. However, if setting Ring time as "0 second", no
record is saved in Received calls.
•
Even activating Voice mail service, video-phone
calls cannot be connected to Voice mail center and
are disconnected after Ringing time previously set.
• Voice mail service and Call forwarding service
cannot be used simultaneously. Even applying to
both services, Voice mail service suspends when
activating Call forwarding service. However, setting
Call forwarding service to "OFF" cannot activate
Voice mail service automatically.
• When setting Caller ID request service to "Activate",
FOMA terminal answers with Caller ID request
guidance to calls without Caller ID, and cannot
record messages.
• When activating Voice mail service, you can make or
receive voice phone calls as usual.
• The service also provides a function that only
announces that you are unable to answer the call.
• Unanswered voice phone is to be connected to the
Voice mail center. Received calls or informing icon
notifies that you have the received calls.
• When a new call is incoming during a call, you can
forward the new call to the Voice mail center.
