Infrared communication
Infrared communication
You can send and receive Phonebook data or images to and from other FOMA terminals and mobile
phones etc. equipped with Infrared communication function. Using Infrared communication with i-
g
ppli allows to link to devices having the infrared communication function.
･
Infrared communication cannot be executed under All lock/Close lock/Self mode.
･
Location service client data cannot be received under Kids' mode.
･
Under PIM lock, data related to the function being locked cannot be sent/received.

Infrared communication is interrupted by using Burglar alarm.

"Send/Receive all" may not be operated in Infrared communication started from i-

ppli software.

Since radio wave status in Infrared communication is same as status of out of service area, calls/i-mode/
data communication cannot be operated.

Multitask function cannot be used during Infrared communication.
･
Infrared communication and data communication with USB cannot be made at the same time.
･
Downloaded melody/image data may not be sent/received with Infrared communication.

Image/i-motion bigger than approximately 300 KB cannot be sent/received. (Some images may not be
sent/received even if the image is within approximately 300 KB. Also cannot send/receive the Melody
bigger than approximately 100 KB.)

When you send a message, attached images which cannot be sent/received may be omitted, and only
Message may be sent. Also, when receiving, only Message may be received.

A message is displayed if exceeding savable data size or data number of items. Savable data is saved
in "Receive all".

SA800i Infrared communication function is based on IrMC1.1. Infrared communication may not be made
even though the other party's terminal is based on IrMS1.1.

Data exchanged with the terminal other than SA800i with Infrared communication may not be sent or
displayed correctly on the other party's terminal.

Infrared communication may not be performed properly in areas exposed to direct sunlight or fluorescent
lights.
･
2nd zip code and address registered in Profile are not sent with Infrared communication.
･
When sending/receiving bookmark, setting of folder sorting is not transferred.
･
Continuous play cannot be operated if i-motion with link information is registered.
