Starting Software update

Software can be updated, maintaining various data, such as a phonebook, camera images, downloaded data,

saved in the terminal. However, note that data protection sometimes cannot be secured according to the

conditions of your FOMA terminal (such as malfunction, damage, or water leak). DoCoMo recommends you to

back up your important data. (Note that some data such as downloaded data may not be backed up.)

Never remove the battery pack while updating software. Update may be failed. When Software update has

failed, "Rewrite failed" is displayed and all operation becomes unavailable. In that case, please bring FOMA

terminal to a DoCoMo specified service center.
