Setting Up and Connecting the Serial Interface

Refer to the specifications for your peripheral device, and proceed as follows to set up the

serial interface for your application:

Connect an RS-232 null-modem cable such as Fluke accessory Y1702 or Y1703

to the rear panel RS-232 connector and to the peripheral device.

Press [UTIL MENUS] followed by the sequence of softkeys: "Setup", "Remote

Port Setup", "RS-232 Port Setup". The display changes to:

Select the baud rate, number of data bits, number of stop bits, and parity method

by pressing the associated softkeys.

Press the "Next Menu" softkey. The display changes to:

Select the stall method by pressing the "Stall" softkey.
