Alphabetical List of 5790A Device-Dependent Commands

REF?

Returns the reference value and its associated parameters.

Parameter

None

Responses:

(Float) The reference value.

(Float) The frequency of the reference. (If references at two different frequencies

were averaged, the second frequency is returned.)

(Integer) The number of readings used to generate the reference value. 0 = reference

off, 1 = reference set, 2 = reference averaged.

(CRD) The input connector at which the last reference was measured, e.g., INPUT1,

or NONE if no reference is set.

REFAVG

Sets the reference to the average of the present stored reference value and the present

input measurement. This command generates an error if there is no reference set or if the

reference has already been averaged.

REFCLR

Clears the reference.

Parameter

None

REFSET

Sets the reference to the value of the present input measurement. This generates an error

if a reference is already set. (Use REFCLR first in that case.)

REMOTE (For serial port remote control only)

Puts the 5790A into the remote state. This command duplicates the IEEE-488 REN

(Remote Enable) message.
