2.1.1  Warnings and Cautions

There are two safety categories given in this manual:

‰

WARNINGS

are given for conditions which may endanger life.

WARNING: The instructions given in warnings must be followed pre-
cisely. They are given to avoid injury or death.

‰

CAUTIONS

are given for conditions which may cause damage to

equipment or materials.

CAUTION: The instructions given in cautions must be followed to
avoid damage to equipment or materials.

2.1.2  Clothing and Jewellery

Do not wear clothing or jewellery which could be hazardous when in
contact with any part of the equipment, or which could reflect laser
light into the eyes.

2.1.3  Equipment and Tools

Use the approved service tools and the protection equipment
required for laser and mechanical safety.

2.1.4  Site Safety Rules

Most accidents can be avoided if you follow these simple rules.

‰

Familiarize yourself with the location of mains supply On/Off
switch on the engine and all other equipment On/Off switches.

‰

Always obey the warnings, cautions, and any other instructions
included in this manual, and in other relevant equipment manuals
associated to the equipment.

‰

Never attempt to perform procedures that are not included in this
manual.
