Accessing the Switch

ExtremeWare XOS 11.3 Concepts Guide

icmp

uses ICMP echo messages to trace the routed path.

Beginning with ExtremeWare XOS, you can trace the route between the switch and an IPv6 address.
However, you must specify the target’s IPv6 address to use this command.

Displaying Switch Information

To display basic information about the switch, issue the following command:

show switch

Output from this command on a modular switch looks similar to the following:
