Before and after each worklist
Daily maintenance of the instrument must be performed before and after a
worklist to ensure the flawless function of the instrument. It consists of three
steps.
o
Flushing with the system liquid
o
Decontamination of the pipetting needles
o
Rinsing the wash unit
Before you perform a service step, you should always ensure that the
instrument cover is closed.
7.2.1 Flushing with the system liquid
The Sprinter XL uses system liquid to clean the pipetting needles and to fill the
system tube and as a rinsing solution following contact with the samples and
reagents. The system liquid consists of distilled or deionised water and the
cleaning solution Setup Clean.
The amount of Setup Clean in the distilled water of the system fluid
depends on how prone to carry-over the sample or reagent is.
To prepare the system liquid, add 5.0 ml of Setup Clean to 1 l of distilled water
(dilution 1:201) and fill the complete solution into the container for system liquid.
Close it securely and place it on the station.

Before you begin service, ensure that there is enough system liquid in the
container.
Never remove the system liquid container while the unit is running or
during service. Only fill up the container when the instrument is not
working.
