Service plan (for service technicians)
During the year, the service technicians can periodically perform preventative
service on the instrument.
Here the prescribed process is to be maintained to ensure a complete system
inspection.
9.3 Instrument
disinfection
All instrument parts which come into contact with patient serums or hazardous
biological materials must be treated as potentially infectious.
Powder-free gloves must be worn during operation and during work on
the instrument.
The instrument must be thoroughly disinfected before shipping or service.
If the lab does not use a special disinfection process, the monthly cleaning
process described in chapter 9.1.3 must be performed.
Never use acetone or alcohol to clean the cover.
The disinfection process should be carried out by authorised and trained
personnel wearing powder-free disposable gloves, safety goggles and
clothing in a well-ventilated room.
Caution: The disinfectant can have an effect on the instrument
performance if it is used inside the instrument.
If, during a test run, an error occurs in the aspiration system and infectious
material remains in the channels, disinfection of the entire instrument is no
longer possible. Contact your local customer service so that a service
technician can repair the defect on site.
Remove the plug-in power unit for external disinfection. Use a soft cloth dipped
into a disinfectant. Perform the additional required steps according to the
disinfectant instructions.
9.4
Decommissioning the system
If you wish to decommission the system for an extended period of time, please
contact your local customer service.
