Image Quality
To obtain optimal image quality, users must comply with the following
recommendations:
1 Use the coil recommended for the anatomy being imaged;
2
when more than one coil size is available, always select the smallest
one according to the anatomy under examination and the patient
characteristics;
3
immobilize the limb to prevent possible artifacts during involuntary
movements;
4 to obtain high quality images (good S/N ratio), the shielding straps
and covers supplied should be used. RF shielding is efficient when it is
perfectly closed around the limb examined: re-close the covers on the
straps, exerting a slight pressure, to ensure sufficient electrical
contact.
A t t e n t i o n
Do not proceed with an examination if interference is visible in the
Scout image, or if an error message indicates the presence of
interference. Check that the shielding elements are in optimal
operating conditions and/or contact Esaote-authorized service
personnel for assistance.
Such interferences can impede image interpretation by degrading
quality and causing artifacts.
