Instructions for Safe Use
Periodic maintenance
O-scan requires certain periodic maintenance procedures that are to be
performed by Esaote authorized service personnel. The maintenance
operations and schedule are provided in the table below:

Backup of calibration, configuration and user protocols of the

transmission coil check every six months
visual inspection and eventually change of shielding covers and
straps

checking the condition and number of cushions and positioning
straps

cleaning the gantry every six months
removing dust inside the PC and console every six months
checking and cleaning of cooling fans every six months
cleaning the receiving coils and checking correct insertion into
the gantry
every six months
checking the working order of the patient seat every six months
checking functionality of the cinematic devices every six months
calibration of the receiving coils every six months
checking the ground connections, cables, connectors inside the
electronic unit and magnetic unit
every six months
checking condition of fingers on door of electronic box every six months
checking the condition of the power supply cable every year
checking the of functioning the warning lights every year
cleaning the mouse and keyboard every year
cleaning the screen of the monitor every year
checking the condition of the safety symbols every year
shimming parameter check every year
system insulation check every year
