POSITIONING PLATE
The positioning plate slides on a dedicated guide fixed to the base.
After connecting the base of the positioner to the coil, the guide of the
plate (without the plate) must be fixed to the support by tightening the
two captive knobs (marked h and k in the figure below) in the relative
threaded holes of the guide.
The red dots on the guide must be facing the exterior of the coil. If facing
the coil interior, the user will not be able to insert the plate in the guide.
The graduated scale on the guide must be located on the part of the coil
with the connectors (the coil section that enters the gantry first).

The guide is equipped with a knob ( z in the figure below) to enable fixture
of the guide-positioning plate.
To slide the plate in the guide and set the required position of the region
examined with respect to the coil, simply loosen the knob z , and
re-tighten after setting in the required position.
The graduated scale in centimeters on the guide is required for future
repeatability of the set position: in fact the scale enables the user to
determine the specific guide-plate position for the examination.
