For ASF, Flash and MPEG-TS streaming on your network (where x is the
number of channels configured). The number of ports used depends on
how many channels you have with streaming enabled. See
*Ports 8000 and 8001 are also used for internal communications. If
streaming is disabled, these ports remain open but refuse all external
connection requests.

Perform network diagnostics
If your Networked VGA Grid has network trouble, you can perform basic network troubleshooting tasks from
the Network configuration page. In addition to providing the system’s IP address and MAC address to your
network administrator, you can also ping an IP address or use traceroute to determine the path taken to an
address.
Not all networks support ping and traceroute.
To ping or traceroute an IP address:
1. Login to the Admin panel as
admin
.
2. Select the
Network
link in the Configuration menu; the network configuration page opens.
