Service settings

6.2.2 Updating firmware

You need an empty memory card to update the software.
You can obtain the update from EOS as follows:



Memory card with firmware.



ZIP file with the zipped update files as a download from the EOS home
page.

NOTICE

Equipment damage due to a faulty update

The device can become unusable if the update is interrupted.



Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during the up-
date process.



The update must be performed by trained personnel only.

Ensure that you have a backup of the old software version on your PC or an
external drive. You will need this old version in the event that the update is
not successful. See 6.2.1 Configuration backup,


