5.12.5 Internal parts adjustment

Tape guide adjustment procedure

1. Turn the tape drum inside the gauge head in the direction of the arrow in the

diagram below to make the measuring tape taut.


2. Once taping is complete, set the tape guide so that both ends are approximately

2 mm (0.08 in) from the surface of the measuring tape as shown below.
 The measuring tape may come off the sprocket pins due to sudden movement

caused by waves of the liquid. The tape guide prevents this.

3. If a dust protector is installed, loosen the installation threads (2 threads) and make

adjustments so that the measuring tape does not interfere with the dust-proof slit.

This completes the tape guide adjustment process.
