5.12.2 Connecting the measuring tape and the float

1. Bend the measuring tape at 65 mm (2.56 in).
2. Bend the measuring tape once more at 65 mm (2.56 in).
3. Bend the measuring tape, which has been bent twice, at the center.
4. Insert the joint shaft into the bent measuring tape.
5. Tighten the tape clamp with a bolt and nut.
6. Flatten the protruding screw thread of the bolt with pliers to lock the nut.

This completes the process of connecting the measuring tape and float.
