1.  Perform the procedure in Appendix A or Appendix B for the 

firmware download.  During the download, the Fan will come on.  
During this time, adjust the Paper Sensor Potentiometer. 

2.  Adjust the Potentiometer on the Paper Sensor Harness Assembly 

using the flowchart in Table Chapter 6 .2 below. 

NOTE

 

Note:  1.  You will not use any media during this adjustment procedure. 

 

2.  During this procedure, the Carriage Assembly must not be 

positioned over the openings in the Platen for the Lower 
Rollers. 

 

3.  The range for the voltage will be 1.4 to 1.6 Volts. 

 

4.  After the Paper Sensor Potentiometer Adjustment, any 

change in the Carriage Height will require readjustment of the 
Paper Sensor Value for that height. 

 

5.  The voltage at the Potentiometer Adjustment Test Point will 

vary slightly with temperature.  If the voltage is rechecked at 
a later time, it does not need to be readjusted if it is in the 
range of 1.4 to 1.6 Volts.
