4.

Verify communication between the plotter and the computer by
transmitting the following BASIC program to the plotter (character
codes are enclosed in [ ] ):

[ESC]%-1BBPIN;SP1;PA500,500;
LBPLOTTER/INTERFACE TEST OK[CHR$(3)]
SP0;PA0,0;PG;

The plotter should print out “Interface Test OK.” Did the plot run
correctly?

If YES:

the

plotter

and

the

computer

are

properly

communicating.

If NO:

check the settings of the plotter interface. Correct any
settings, cycle the power to the plotter, and run the test
again. If the plot fails again, have the interface cable and
computer’s interface card tested.

5.

Run the Demo Plot from MAIN MENU DEMO PLOT on the plotter.
If the plot runs correctly, the problem is not in the plotter.
