11.1 Disassembly of Plotter Before Removing the Inner

Platen Parts

Refer to the indicated sections of this chapter and Figure Chapter 5
.25 as necessary during this procedure. To obtain access to the Inner
Platen Parts:

1. Remove the Top Cover, the Left Cover Assembly and the Left

Side Plate. See Section 8.1.

2. Remove the Right Cover Assembly. See Section 4.1.

3. Disconnect all the connectors from the MPCB. See Section 4.2.

4. Remove the MPCB. See Section 4.3.1.

5. Remove the Right Side Plate. See Figure Chapter 5 .25. Be sure

to disconnect the Power Cable Ground from the inside of the Right
Side Plate.

6. Remove the Display Assembly. See Section 6.1.

7. Remove the Left and Right Rollguides from the back of the Platen.

8. Remove the Trailing Cable Cover.

9. Remove the Power Supply. See Section 9.1.

10. Remove the Servo Motor. See Section 5.1, Steps 4-9.

11. Clean and remove the entire Service Station. See Chapter 3,

Section 4.0 for cleaning procedure and Chapter 5, Section 7.1 for
the removal procedure.

12. Go to Section 11.2 below.

CAUTION

There is a screw and nut in approximately the middle near the top
edge of the Left and Right Side Plates. These have been set at the
factory to a specific torque. DO NOT tighten or loosen this screw
and nut at any time. See Figure Chapter 5 .25.
