Maintenance and cleaning
The exterior of the appliance can be
cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use
abrasives, alcohol and/or solvents.
There are no special requirements for
general cleaning. Clean the detergent
compartments and filter. Below are some
tips for moving the machine or preparing
it if it will not be used for some time.
Cleaning the filter
•
The washing machine has a special
filter for collecting loose objects
such as buttons or coins, which
could otherwise block the drain.
•
Only on some models: pull out the
corrugated hose, remove the plug
and drain the water into a container.
•
Before you unscrew the filter we
recommend that you place a towel
or similar underneath the filter to
collect excess water.
•
Turn the filter counter-clockwise until
it stops in the vertical position.
•
Pull out and clean the filter, then refit
it by turning it clockwise.
•
Replace all the parts removed by
following the steps above in the
reverse order.
Advice for moving the
machine, or if it will not
be used for some time
•
If the washing machine is to be
stored in an unheated space for
a longer period, all water must be
drained from the hoses.
•
Disconnect the washing machine
from the electrical supply.
•
Release the hose from the holder
and hold it in a bucket or similar
container until all the water drains
out.
•
When you have finished, re-attach
the drain hose to the holder.
Cleaning the detergent
compartments
•
Press button (A).
•
Twist the drawer outwards while
holding down the button.
•
Remove the drawer and clean it.
•
It is recommended that you wash
all detergent residue out of the
detergent compartments.
•
Pull out the detergent
compartment(s) from the rear of
the dispenser and clean them
thoroughly.
•
Remove any residue that
could block the holes in the
compartments.
Refit the drawer
•
Insert the tabs as illustrated. Rotate
the drawer towards the lid until the
tabs slot into place (C). You will hear
