Application of UA 300 D

2.1.1 Controller types
The following three controller types are combined in the UA 300 D Case Controller:

UA 111 X Corresponds largely to the existing UA 111 D (UA 300) controller for multitasks without defrost
heater, but has a second zone for roll−in display cabinets and different temperature sensor
grouping (8 for supply air, 2 for return air).
UA 111 XP Corresponds largely to the UA 111 (UA 300) controller for multidecks without defrost heater,
but has a different temperature sensor grouping (8 for supply air, 2 for return air) and the capa-
bility of controlling a refrigeration pack equipped with up to 3 compressors as a function of
pressure.
Coldroom controller
UR 141 Corresponds largely to the UR 141 TK and UR 141 NK (UA 300) controllers for coldrooms, but
has one zone 1 for low−temperature refrigeration and one zone 2 for normal−temperature coo-
ling.
The controller type is selected by DIP switch S3 located in the middle of the circuit board (UA 300 D xC) or on
the rear of the controller (UA 300 D xS) − See Section 4.3.2 Setting Controller Type and Master/Slave Mode.
Selection of the controller type defines the controller properties and default controller settings. The UA 300 D
Case Controller can be operated by:

Host computer via modem connected to CI 3000 Store Computer.
S
AL 300 Operator Terminal.
S
CI 3000 Store Computer.
S
Local BT 300 x Operator Interface connected to the controller.
2.1.2 Version update
Replacement of the EPROM may only be carried out by trained personnel or at the manufacturer’s
works. Improper EPROM replacement can result in damage to the controller and impairment of con-
troller functions.
As a rule, all setpoints previously defined will be retained when updating the controller version (inserting a new
EPROM).
Exception: This does not apply when updating from Version V1.16 or earlier to Version V1.17 or later.
In this instance all previously defined setpoints will be replaced automatically by the basic settings of the new
version when updating (inserting a new EPROM).
The previously defined setpoints can be preserved by first saving them to the LDSWin PC software
via CAN bus. After inserting the new EPROM, the saved data can then be downloaded to the con-
troller (See Section LDSWin for further details).
