These instructions for use do not contain references
to various hazards which are obvious to a medical
professional who operates this medical device as
well as references to the consequences of medical
device misuse, and to potentially adverse effects in
patients with different underlying diseases. Medical
device modification or misuse can be dangerous.
Information on electromagnetic
compatibility
General information on electromagnetic
compatibility (EMC) according to international EMC
standard IEC 60601-1-2:
Medical electrical equipment is subject to special
precautionary measures concerning
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and must be
installed and put into operation in accordance with
the EMC information provided.
Portable and mobile RF communications equipment
can affect medical electrical equipment.
Intended use
Electronic flowmeter for metering oxygen or
compressed air for inhalation or insufflation in
combination with the accessories required for
operation. Use for patients with spontaneous
respiration only.
– Use the medical device only in rooms serving
medical purposes.
– Do not use the medical device to an intubated
patient or to a patient who must be ventilated.
The medical device provides additional information
about the respiratory therapy such as:
– Therapy duration (in hours)
– Gas consumption (in liters)
The integrated timer can be used to monitor the
duration of the respiratory therapy.

Do not use DigiFlow in areas where explosive
anesthetic agents, such as ether or cyclopro-
pane, are used.

Risk of device malfunctions and/or patient injury
and user injury
Magnetic fields can negatively influence the cor-
rect functioning of the medical device and therefo-
re endanger the patient or user.
Do not use the medical device near magnetic reso-
nance imaging devices (MRI).
