The description below meets “Guidelines on
the Use of Radio-communication Equipment
such as Cellular Telephones – Safeguards for
Electronic Medical Equipment” by the
Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference
Japan.
Comply with the following in
hospitals or health care facilities:
Do not carry the FOMA terminal into
operating rooms, intensive care units
(ICU) or coronary care units (CCU).
Turn off the FOMA terminal in hospital
wards.
If there is any electronic medical
equipment near you, turn off the
FOMA terminal even when in a
location such as a lobby.
Comply with any regulations of
hospital and health care facilities
instructing you not to use or carry in a
mobile phone.
If the Auto Power ON function is set,
deactivate the setting, then turn the
power off.
Turn off the FOMA terminal in
crowded areas such as inside
trains during rush hour, as
someone with an implanted
cardiac pacemaker or implanted
defibrillator may be near you.
Operation of an implanted cardiac
pacemaker or implanted defibrillator can
be affected by radio waves.
