18.2 Service and inspection instructions
1. The first service after 20 hours of operation
Change the pressure and return filter elements.
Check the wheel bolt for tightness – 360 Nm (M18, 32 pcs.).
Check the attachment bolts of the steering axle for tightness – 520 Nm (M20, 2 pcs.).
Check the U-bolts of the fixed axle for tightness – 230 Nm (M20, 2 pcs.).
Visually check that the hoses or connectors do not show leaks or chafing.
2. Daily service
Check the oil level in the hydraulics and top up, if necessary. (In the transport position)
Check the oil level in the Diesel engine and top up, if necessary.
Check the fuel level.
Check the amount of water gathered in the water trap/fuel filter, and drain as required.
Check the hydraulic connections.
Check the structures visually.
Check the operation of the emergency descent and emergency stop functions.
Check the operation of the safety devices.
Check the condition of the tyres.
3. Weekly service
Lubricate the joint pins (see point “Lubrication plan”).
Check the engine oil level.
Check the sliding surfaces of the telescope and apply silicon if necessary.
Check the clearance between the slide pads and surfaces and adjust the pads if
necessary.
Check the operation of the platform load control (see point “Control system for platform
load”).
4. Service every six months
Change the hydraulic oil, and check the hydraulic pressure, and the return filter cartridge
in the tank.
Check that the protective covers, the safety devices and the instruction/warning signs
are in order, and the unit is clean.
Check the oil levels in the transmission (see point “Axles and tyres”).
Grease the gear ring of the turning device bearing.
5. Regular service every 11-12 months
(see point “Regular servicing”).
NOTE
IF THE LIFT IS OPERATED UNDER DEMANDING CONDITIONS (IN AN EXCEPTIONALLY
HUMID OR DUSTY ENVIRONMENT, CORROSIVE CLIMATE, ETC.), THE INTERVALS
BETWEEN THE OIL CHANGES AND THE OTHER INSPECTIONS SHALL BE SHORTENED
TO MEET THE PREVAILING CONDITIONS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE OPERATIONAL
SAFETY AND RELIABILITY OF THE LIFT.
