22.2 Checking the operation of the load regulation valves
Checking the operation of the load regulation valves of the oscillating axle locking.
Drive the boom of the lift to the transport position on a level surface, and ensure
that the boom is exactly parallel to the chassis. (0° or 180°).
Driving from the platform, drive one of the wheels of the oscillating axle onto an
elevation of about 150 mm. The chassis remains level, only the axle will incline.
Turn the boom to the side. The locking cylinders lock the oscillation of the axle,
when the boom is not parallel to the chassis.
Drive the lift smoothly down from the elevation.
Check that the other wheel of the fixed or the oscillating axle does not come into
contact with the ground. Wait a few minutes, and check whether the wheel has
stayed off the ground.
Drive again the boom parallel to the chassis. When the boom is again parallel to the
chassis, the oscillation of the axle will be released, and the wheel will lower to the
ground.
Repeat the test also with the other wheel of the oscillating axle.

Checking the operation/tightness of the load regulation valves for the cylinders in
the boom system.
Drive the cylinder in question to a position, where its length can easily and reliably
be measured.

NOTE
During checking the load regulation valve for the
boom cylinder
, the
boom must be almost upright so that the pressure being created will be
sufficient. (> 60° above the level position)

NOTE
A weight of about 100 kg must be placed onto the platform for
checking the load regulation valve for the
jib cylinder
, so that the pressure
being created will be sufficient.
Measure the overall length of the cylinder or the length of the extended cylinder rod.
