Lamp Replacement

To remove the lamp, switch off the projector, disconnect from the mains supply and

wait 20 minutes for the projector to cool down. As a matter of good practice, and in

order to reduce the 20 minutes cooling time, the user is recommended to switch off

the existing lamp using the LAMP OFF button on the remote control unit, and to

allow the cooling fan to run for 5 minutes before turning off the projector and

disconnecting from the mains supply. The projector will however be undamaged by

immediate removal of the mains supply.

Remove the top rear cover by releasing the two shoulder screws at the back, then

while gently lifting, slide the cover back towards the rear of the projector. Next,

remove the screws securing the rear sub cover to the mounting bracket and lift out

the cover.

For safety reasons the lamp has an integral housing and shutter, this shutter

must be closed before the lamp can be removed.

Before attempting to disconnect the lamp from the power supply, locate the lamp

shutter and push it to the closed position. Disconnect the lamp from the power

supply by removing the two push-fit connectors. Next, undo the retaining screw on

the housing clamp and pivot it back. Then, carefully lift out the lamp housing and

remove it to a safe place. If you do not want to replace the lamp immediately, close

the housing clamp and replace both covers.
