12.1

General Settings

Open “General Settings” window by choosing “General Settings…” in the “MCQ-Pro” menu.
This window permits configuring general settings of DIALOC ID MCQ-Pro.

Application

Check “Show wizard on startup” to show wizard when DIALOC ID MCQ-Pro starts up.

Communication

Before attempting to connect to a TCP/IP device, DIALOC ID MCQ-Pro tries to ping it. If
pinging timeouts, connecting will not be attempted. You can define in “Ping timeout” field
the time in milliseconds to wait before aborting the connection attempt.

You can define in “Connection timeout” field the maximum time in milliseconds to wait for
an answer from device (timeout).

Device discovery

To avoid discovery being too long, DIALOC ID MCQ-Pro limits the number of serial ports to
scan and the time to wait for a heartbeat on the TCP/IP network (see section 6.3.1).

You can define in “Device discovery” fields the limits used by DIALOC ID MCQ-Pro.
