Hardware and Firmware: gives version information about IO set’s hardware and firmware.

Digital Inputs, Digital Outputs, Analog Inputs and Analog Outputs: indicates the number
of digital/analog inputs and outputs of the IO sets.

5.1.5

Upgrading Firmwares

Two different kind of firmware can be upgraded in your RFID device:



System firmware which manages protocols and interfaces for communication with the
host,



Radio firmware which manages RFID operations.

System Firmware Upgrade

To upgrade system firmware:

Open “Favorite Devices” panel by clicking on the icon

in the toolbar or by

choosing “Favorite Devices” in the “Device” menu.

Connect to the device to upgrade by selecting it and clicking on the icon

In the drop down menu

, select “

Upgrade System Firmware…”. Alternatively,

you may as well right-click the device.

In the “Firmware Upgrade” dialog box, select the firmware file, enter if necessary its
associated passphrase and click “Upgrade”.
