Edit Points
-
Create a user-defined Arb from the present Arb property values. This lets you edit specific
points in the standard arbitrary waveform.
Step 3 – Run the Arb
When the arbitrary waveform runs, front panel voltage and current controls as well as any remote voltage and
current commands are ignored until after the Arb completes.
In this example, the Arb type is Voltage.
– Set the Arb Type to Voltage.
– Set V0, V1, t0, and t1 accordingly: Use the navigation keys to select the field; use the numeric entry keys to
enter the value. The value is set when you press [Enter].
– Set Trigger Source to Key. Press Properties > Trig Src Key.
– Press the color-coded [On] key to enable the output.
– Press Run to start the Arb operation. To abort the operation, press Stop. Alternatively, press [List Run/Stop].
– Press [Scope/Datalog] to enter Scope view and display the Arb.
From the remote interface:
Select the Arb Type and Shape:
ARB:FUNC:TYPE VOLT
ARB:FUNC:SHAP STEP
Enter the values for the level before and after a voltage step:
ARB:VOLT:STEP:STAR 0,(@1)
ARB:VOLT:STEP:END 5,(@1)
Enter the delay time before the step:
ARB:VOLT:STEP:STAR:TIM 0.01,(@1)
To set the voltage mode to Arb:
VOLT:MODE ARB
