From the front panel:
1. Press Utilities > I/O Config > Digital IO to access the Digital I/O window.
2. Select the pin you wish to configure. For example, press Pin 1 to configure Pin 1.
3. Press Function and select Digital I/O. Select and program the remaining pins in the same manner. Press Back to
return to previous page.
4. Configure the polarity for each of the pin. Press Polarity Pos to select Positive and Polarity Neg to select Neg-
ative. Select and program the remaining pins in the same manner.
5. The In and Out field only apply to the Digital I/O and Digital In functions. Press Out to toggle and enter the bin-
ary bit (0 or 1) into the Out field of the digital I/O window. For Digital I/O function, a binary bit 1 with positive
polarity specify a voltage high at the pin while a binary bit 0 with positive polarity specify a voltage low at the
pin. The In field reflects the condition of the external signal that is applied to the pins.
From the remote interface:
To configure the digital I/O function for pins 1 through 3:
DIG:PIN 1:FUNC DIO
DIG:PIN 2:FUNC DIO
DIG:PIN 3:FUNC DIO
To configure the pin polarity to positive for pins 1 through 3:
DIG:PIN 1:POL POS
DIG:PIN 2:POL POS
DIG:PIN 3:POL POS
To send a binary weighted value to configure pins 1 through 3 as “111”:
