Setup System Requirements

The laptop computer you use to setup the AV6010 Camera System should

meet the following requirements:

Category

To gain access to an AV6010 Camera:

1. Because AV6010 is web-based, you will need to obtain the correct

IP address, netmask and gateway that will be used within the

building from the system administrator. This will be used to

establish a HOST network later.

2. For the initial AV6010 setup, you will connect via the SYNC

network.

(Use the special SYNC network adapter cable that is included with

the AV6010 Setup & Calibration Kit.)

3. Using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, open a browser window.
4. Enter the camera’s IP address in the

Address

entry field.

5. Save the IP address as a Favorite or Bookmark in your browser for

quick and easy access.

6. After first time setup, you may need to obtain the password from the

system administrator.

7. When a connection is established, the AV6010 User Interface

should appear.

For details, see page 74.

IMPORTANT:

After an Accu-Sort trained and authorized technician

configures your AV6010 camera system, they will verify normal operations

and make calibration adjustments as necessary. The information in this

chapter is for reference purposes only.
