Connecting Camera to Camera:
In applications where there are two or more cameras, the SYNC network
forms a ‘ring network’ that starts and ends with the RangeFinder.
(See
drawing 112753 in Appendix I.)
Connections between cameras should be made as follows:
1. Connect from the SYNC OUT of Camera 1 to the SYNC IN of Camera 2.
2. Insert the cable into the wiring channels of the mounting structure.
(See illustration on page 54.)
3. Continue making the camera network connections for all cameras in the
tunnel. The SYNC OUT from the last camera should be connected to the
‘open’ SYNC connection on the RangeFinder.
IMPORTANT:
The two most important cameras in a multi-camera system
should be connected to the RangeFinder. For example: Both the camera
acting as the DHCP server (i.e., that is most accessible, handles the tach
connection to the system and/or will be reading the highest percentage of
codes) and the top read / dimensioning camera should be connected to the
RangeFinder. In some application, these functions are all handled by the
same camera.
