−
Internal (Ext. failed): Using internal reference. This value also indicates that the device locked for
internal clock reference due to a failure in the external reference selected from the
/settings/equip menu.
•
External 2048kHz Clock Status: Indicates the current reference status of the device, making it
possible for the user to verify the external clock conditions by altering the use of the clock reference. The
possible values are:
−
Clock OK / Clock Error: The device is selected to use the external clock reference, and it may be
OK or out of specification, respectively.
−
Clock OK (ignored) / Clock Error (ignored): The device is selected to use the internal clock
reference. The field indicates whether the signal in the clock input is OK or out of specification,
respectively.
•
External Alarm 1, 2 and 3: It shows the status of the external clocks individually. Values:
−
Disabled: The alarm was disabled and is being ignored at the moment.
−
No alarm / ALARM: The alarm is enabled. The field shows, then, whether the alarm is active
(ALARM) or OK (No alarm).
3.12.2. Interface Status Menus
Status for both interfaces:
•
Operation: Configures the activation of a card and indicates if the card is Active or Not active.
Leds of inactive cards panel remain off.

•
Current Tests: Indicates if the card is undergoing a test, and, in case of an affirmative result, it
also indicates the type of the test. Types of test options include None, Running LDL, Running LAL, and
Running BERT. BERT is a test performed exclusively in V.35 tributary channels.
When the information corresponding to a certain interface is not available, the message "Inf. not Available"
appears in the field. This is the case, for instance, of the response of status options that are dependant on
E3 channel synchronization when aggregates are not synchronized, as in the field "Remote Alarm".
3.13. System Parameters
Fixed parameters:
•
Product Code: Product code, which is unique for each DATACOM piece of equipment. Code for
DM16E1 is 3003, and for DM4E1 it is 3004.
•
Resets since factory test: Number of resets since factory test.
•
SW BOOT Version: Software boot version used in the equipment. This software is in charge of
recovering the system in case of emergency.
